Deepika Padukone Cocktail Inspired Look

Deepika Padukone's stellar performance in COCKTAIL is the talk of the town! She nailed the role of a super confident, attention craving party animal who lives life, not giving a damn! I personally liked the movie, but what I LOVED  was how gorgeousssss Deepika Padukone looked! Her hair, makeup, style, attitude...everything complemented each other soo well! Ofcourse, Diana Penty looked beautifuullll too! :)

Haha my attempt at the sultry look! :P

We saw Deepika Padukone in a different avatar with her gorgeous Shakira-like hair streaked with warm gold, copper and brown! She's known for her minimal makeup so I decided to decode her "no-makeup" look!

So I started off by creating a flawless base using primer, concealer, foundation and powder! For my eyes, I smudged a dark brown eye kohl above and below my eyelids to create a soft look, almost natural! Next, I curled my lashes and applied mascara to open them up! To replicate Deepika's eyebrows, I filled them in using a dark brown matte eyeshadow along with an angular brush! For my cheeks, I added a dash of highlighter on top of my cheekbones and contoured my cheeks (you can use a bronzer) to create a beachy feel! To finish off, I popped on some lipstick and blotted it using a tissue paper to make it seem more natural ;)
P.S- Hazlenut brown contact lenses like Deepika's would add omph to your overall look!

White eye pencil?!

If you look closely at the pics below, you can see my waterline coated with a white pencil! Basically, white attracts light and opens up your eyes, giving the illusion of bigger, brighter eyes! I've applied it entirely on my lower waterline, you could also use the white pencil just on the inner corner (tear duct area) of your eyes to brighten them! It gives a simple, fresh look, great for summer!

Keep in mind my your skin tone when choosing a white pencil... Beige, cream, off whites work great for duskier complexions rather than the stark white!

For a softer look, use a Q-tip (ear bud) to smudge the white pencil! (In the pics below, I haven't smudged the white pencil)

Before you buy one, plzzzz try it on (make sure the testers are sanitized, or sharpen it and use a tissue to clean the tip).. I know a lot of people who don't like the look, it's a personal choice!

This look is great for any occasion! You can play around with your lipstick colour according to the day/night! I've used one of my fav colours, a gorgeous majenta which looks yummy when paired up with minimal eye makeup! You can barely see my blush, I used it for the heck of it, lol :P

Acne Reducing Face Mask!

I absolutely LOVE Cinnamon! (especially in desserts!) The smell, the taste.. ahh I'm craving Carrot Cake now! This spice is also realllyyyy beneficial for the skin, especially if your acne prone.. It brings blood to the surface of your skin and slightly dries out the area by sucking out all the excess oil!

I've tried this mask a few times and it works sooo well!

Honey+Cinnamon paste

Posing for a pic trying not to laugh!

So here's what you need to do:

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey + 1 teaspoon (not tablespoon) of ground cinnamon

Apply all over your face with your fingers, avoid the paste around your eyes as cinnamon is a pretty strong spice! Leave it on your skin for 15-20 minutes and rinse away!  Repeat once or twice a week!

If you feel any irritation or a burning sensation, make sure you wash it off incase your skin is sensitive! I was so tempted to itch n scratch because it does tingle, but dab your fingers on your face whenever you feel the urge to! :P Also, make sure you wash your face thoroughly to get rid of all the cinnamon particles! The paste does drip down a bit, I tasted a little (it was yummy), you can see in the pic how it was dripping down to my lips! :P haha.. so, just lie down instead, don't walk around like me!

I recommend applying it at night, before going to bed to wake up with gorgeous looking skin! Within a few weeks, you'll see the difference! Again, if your skin reacts to it immediately, it may be because your sensitive to it, so rinse away! :)

It's amazing how effective this mask is! Your skin will feel soft and plumped up once your done! More importantly, it will help battle out acne on your skin! =)

Happy clear skin!
