The Journey of Mesmereyes Makeup in The Hindu newsapaper!

While I was holidaying in Goa with my Mom, I received a call from Madhumitha Srinivasan, edior of The Hindu Newspaper, one of the most prestigious newspapers in the country. I was thrilled when she asked me to answer a few questions via e-mail since I couldn't meet her in Chennai! On my way from the airport to the hotel (it was a 1.5 hour car ride) I opened my email and began answering them. I realized it was the first interview where I opened up and spoke out about everything that I felt about Mesmereyes Makeup.

Before I head to the beach, I want to convey a short message : Believe in yourself. You live life once, why not do something you enjoy doing, something you get happiness from that will keep you going... Stay happy but never satisfied, because once you get satisfied, you'r not going to push yourself to achieve more!

New Woman Magazine Article

This year has already been insane. I went to Colombo for a week for my best friend's wedding and headed to Delhi straight after for the Ponds Femina Miss India DELHI. Both incredible trips!

In the airport, I was at a book store glancing through the magazine section when I saw the "New Woman" magazine on the stands.. Only then I recalled that I had just written an article for their January Issue! 

When I read the article, I was so pleased to see my write up right next to the big names in the industry- Tom Pecheux (Creative makeup Director Estee Lauder), Bianca Hartkopf (Revlon Beauty Expert) and none other than Sonic Sarwate (M.A.C Senior Makeup Artist). Infact, Sonic Sarwate trained me while I worked in M.A.C almost 2 years ago! :)

Its official! UTV Disney - Akriti Sachdev association :) 

2013 marks a new chapter in my life! My Youtube Channel akritisachdev is getting a face lift! Yay! Brand new makeup videos shot with professional videographers! (No more shaky cameras, echos, cows, background noise etc haha)... The content of the videos (and the products that I use) will be decided by me to ensure the videos remain genuine and UTV Disney will produce them :) I'm really excited about this new venture which will keep me on my toes throughout 2013!

Happy New Year to all you Beauty Queens! =D

2012 has been an amazing year for Mesmereyes Makeup with plenty of Bridals, Workshops (in an out of India), Photo shoots, Editorials, Fashion Weeks and exciting new Ventures, (stay tuned for tomorrow's update on what's the next BIG step for Mesmereyes)

Oh, and we also celebrated Mesmereyes Makeup's ONE year Anniversary this year! :D
